Round welded pipes are made of “continuous” hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel strips whose thickness corresponds to the thickness of the wall of the future pipe, and the width to its circumference. The strip runs lengthwise through a special matrix that gives it the shape of a pipe. This is followed by longitudinal pipe welding, calibration, cutting to the required length, normalization, sorting and packaging. These pipes have a wide scope of application. They are used in the production of metal accessories, for general needs in mechanical engineering, metalworking production, automotive industry, steel structures, agricultural industry, scaffolding construction, furniture production and the like.
Rectangular welded pipes are made of “continuous” hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel strips whose thickness corresponds to the thickness of the wall of the future pipe, and the width to its circumference. Galvanized pipes are resistant to corrosion. We offer galvanized pipes with a coupling and thread (thicker wall), which are mainly used in plumbing works, and pipes with a plain end (thinner wall), which are used in the production of greenhouses, poles for traffic signs, etc.
The technological process of making seamless steel pipes consists of three steps: making a hollow body (sleeve), making pipes from the sleeve and finishing operation.
The most famous procedure for obtaining a hollow body is the so-called Mannesmann procedure using a pair of twin tapered rollers rotating in the same direction. Between these rollers, a glowing steel ingot is passed, which, in addition to rotational, also receives a translational (straight line) movement caused by the inclined position of the rollers relative to each other.
Due to these two movements, metal separation occurs in the middle of the ingot. A mandrel enters the resulting opening, so that the sleeve wall rolls between the mandrel and the rollers. After reheating, the sleeves treated in this way are rolled into seamless pipes, whereby the walls are thinned and the pipes are elongated at the same time.
The process is performed using calibrated rollers and mandrels. The outer diameter of the pipe is determined by the distance between the rollers, and the diameter of the mandrel determines the inner one. The final operations consist of reducing the pipe by rolling, calibrating, straightening, cutting and packaging.
Seamless pipes are also known as “gas pipes”, as they are mainly intended for the flow of different fluids. They withstand higher loads, have better mechanical properties and a high degree of safety.
Square welded pipes are made of “continuous” hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel strips whose thickness corresponds to the thickness of the wall of the future pipe, and the width to its circumference.
These are black welded pipes that, as the name implies, have been hydro-tested at a pressure of 50 bar. Therefore, they can be used for the flow of fluids in smaller systems and installations.
Extrusion profiles or profiles for construction metalworks are made in all possible forms, thus meeting the special requirements of designers. Euro-Metali offers ZP-L, ZP-T and ZP-Z profiles. They are characterized by high dimensional precision for metalworking production. They have a good surface condition which provides a suitable basis for the application of corrosion protection coatings.
